Job Description

Our Role:
 
As a result of our continued growth and expansion, we have a new opportunity for a Commissioning Advisor who will be responsible for overseeing and participating in the commissioning activities of new power stations, power station upgrades and systems within the company that are considered complex and/or high risk.

You will be involved in the preparation of commissioning documentation, developing commissioning schedules and executing onsite commissioning activities in line with Group electrical safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of project commissioning documentation including plans and scopes
  • Provide the Scheduling team with key inputs into commissioning schedules and review as required
  • Responsible for the preparation of commissioning support documentation, including ITPs, ITRs, checklists, and certificates
  • Collaborate with all key stakeholders to ensure project related issues are captured and addressed
  • Undertake construction verification inspections to ensure consistent and quality standards
  • Ensures adequate commissioning resources to suit project requirements
  • Onsite overseeing of commissioning activities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the commissioning phase, providing regular updates and addressing concerns
  • Interface with third parties and OEMs on test and commissioning related items

About you:

  • Current A Grade Western Australian Electrical Workers Licence
  • Strong understanding of company electrical safety policies, procedures, latest best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Skilled in the organisation and management of staff, as well as performing a variety of administrative tasks
  • Experience in construction industry
  • Experience in Controls and Instrumentation is highly regarded
  • Experience in working with electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas is highly regarded
  • Substantial experience in commissioning within the power generation industry
  • Strong experience with multiple power generation sources and Balance of Plant
