Job Description
The Role
As a Trade Assistant you will provide support to tradespeople by performing general duties and tasks. This role will be tasked with supervised support engine rebuild works, stores, logistics and general housekeeping.
Warehouse based role, Monday through Friday, 38 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and other assistance to Tradespeople and perform general hand skilled work.
Completing all assigned duties.
Updating work logs and completing administrative duties, including reporting hazards and near misses.
Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace.
Packing vehicles and toolboxes
Delivery and collection of items
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the safety, environmental and quality policies, processes and procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
Current Driver’s Licence.
Forklift Licence
Experience operating power and hand tools
Mechanical aptitude or previous experience in a similar role advantageous
Dogging and Rigging tickets desirable
Warehouse experience and manual handling knowledge are preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and deliver work as requested.
Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
An understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.
Basic computer skills including MS Office.
