As a HSE leader you’ll build health and safety capability by leading improvement initiatives, engaging and coaching leadership and mentoring others with the empowerment and support to make a real impact.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Leading by example to engage, influence, and build trusting relationships across all levels of the business to embed our health and safety management system.
Growing capacity in the health and safety team by mentoring and sharing your knowledge and experience and mentoring other professionals.
Driving the implementation of the health and safety strategy within your business area by turning strategy into focused improvement plans and managing them to completion.
Leading incident investigations and embedding lessons learned in the organisation.
Implementing risk management processes to drive risk-informed safety outcomes.
Be part of the solution
Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or related discipline
Experience in health and safety roles, preferably in resources or heavy industry
Lead investigator qualification and experience (Essential Factors, ICAM, TapRoot)
Lead auditor qualification (preferred)
Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, industry standards and critical control management principles.
Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
