As a Commissioning Manager, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end commissioning strategy, aligning Engineering, Design and Project Delivery while ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards.
You’ll also plan resources proactively and build a strong, skilled team through effective allocation, development and succession planning. This is a Perth based role with the requirement of regular travel to our project sites.

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for managing the commissioning process and strategy, ensuring alignment across multiple functions such as Engineering, Design and Project Delivery.
What you’ll do
- Lead, coach and mentor high performing teams, ensuring WHS compliance, capability development, and positive team culture.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders and manage proactive resource and succession planning.
- Develop commissioning plans, schedules, and resource allocations, integrating activities into overall project timelines.
- Oversee commissioning processes, site audits, HV energisation readiness, and resolution of technical issues.
- Implement QA procedures, review test data and documentation, and manage non‑conformities and corrective actions.
- Provide technical, engineering, and FAT/SAT support across site and workshop environments.
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and high‑quality service delivery.
What you’ll bring
- Valid A‑Grade Western Australian Electrical Workers Licence
- Extensive electrical trade experience
- Strong background in commissioning electrical equipment, control systems, and instrumentation
- Effective communicator with solid time management and conflict‑resolution skills
- Experienced in coordinating technical personnel and managing technical risk in projects
- Broad understanding of engineering disciplines and project design processes
- Sound knowledge of statutory requirements, industry standards, and specifications
- Effective communication skills, ensuring clear direction, task allocation, and safety messaging.
- Organised and proactive, able to plan daily tasks, manage time, and maintain productivity.
