Power Station Operators (Electrical & Mechanical Trades)
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Current WA Electrical Licence (Electrical positions) or relevant Mechanical trade qualification.
- Experience in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of power generation and rotating plant equipment.
- Operate, monitor, inspect and maintain power station plant and equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation.
- Perform routine maintenance, testing, fault finding and minor repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including engines, pumps, valves and auxiliary equipment.
- Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records using digital maintenance management systems.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, isolation and permit-to-work requirements, including HV/LV and mechanical isolation procedures.
- Demonstrated understanding of plant safety, environmental compliance and operational risk management.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, resolve and escalate plant issues when required.
- Effective communication skills and a safety-first mindset, with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Current Manual Driver's Licence.
- Experience working on diesel and gas-fired generation equipment, balance-of-plant systems and associated infrastructure will be highly regarded.
