Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Manager Organisational Development, the Manager – Trainingand Development plays a key role in driving workforce capability across Pacific Energy. This role leads the design and delivery of high-impact training programs, supporting operational excellence, leadership development, and future skills.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Pacific Energy’s learning strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and capability priorities.
Establish governance frameworks for training programs, including policies, standards and compliance requirements.
Identify critical skills and competencies and develop capability development solutions, ensuring integrations of future skills into learning programs.
Develop and manage the leadership development programs, ensuring they meet organisational needs and reflect best practice.
Design and develop technical training programs, partnering with leaders and subject matter experts to develop relevant, high-quality learning solutions.
Manage and govern Learning Management System modules within the HRIS to support effective learning delivery.
Execute training projects end-to-end, ensuring timely outcomes, budget adherence and effective coordination with external partners.
Report on ROI and impact of programs on capability and performance, to continuously improve programs based on feedback and business needs.
Lead and oversee delivery of mandatory training and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Guide and mentor the training team.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or related discipline
Certificate IV in workplace training and assessment
Demonstrated experience leading organisational learning and capability functions within complex environments, including the implementation of enterprise-wide learning strategies and programs.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills, supported by a solid understanding of adult learning principles.
Experience designing and delivering blended learning solutions, leveraging learning analytics, LMS platforms and evaluation frameworks to enhance learning effectiveness and deliver measurable business impact.
Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, influencing leaders and teams to adopt new ways of working.
