We're currently looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team in Kewdale, helping build the custom equipment and power systems that support projects across Australia.
Enjoy a stable Monday to Friday roster, working 38 hours per week in our modern custom-built manufacturing and assembly facility in Kewdale.

The Role
As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you'll be responsible for fabricating and assembling the aluminium and steel enclosures, frames and skids that underpin Pacific Energy's industry-leading renewable power systems. Based in our purpose-built Kewdale facility, you'll work with a skilled team to manufacture high-quality equipment used in solar, battery energy storage, hybrid power and thermal energy projects across Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for a tradesperson who takes pride in precision workmanship and wants to see their work contribute to Australia's clean energy future.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble aluminium and steel enclosures, frames, skids, structural components, pressure vessels, tanks, and stainless steel and carbon steel gas piping systems in accordance with technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Review drawings and provide mark-ups where required
Perform MIG and TIG welding, fitting and general fabrication activities to achieve high-quality workmanship and dimensional accuracy.
Operate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce components to required tolerances and quality standards.
Operate press brakes and associated forming equipment to bend and shape materials in accordance with engineering drawings.
Mentor apprentices and junior team members.
Maintain a strong commitment to safety and comply with all HSE policies and procedures.

You’re an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator who takes genuine pride in your workmanship and believes in getting the job done right the first time. With a strong commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail, you can confidently interpret technical drawings and specifications while consistently producing work to a high standard.

Skills & Experience
Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Sheet Metal Working) or Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding).
Previous sheet metal fabrication experience.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
MIG welding experience is essential, with TIG welding experience highly regarded.
CNC Laser and Press Brake Operation Experience preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Forklift licence advantageous.
Dogging and rigging qualifications advantageous.
