Job Description

Due to continued expansion and growth a newly created opportunity exists for an experienced Site Superintendent in our Pacific Energy Connected (PEC) division.

In addition to expanding the existing remote and renewable power solutions, PEC is one of Australia’s leading turnkey delivery partners for green hydrogen production and refueling facilities, with unmatched experience delivering end-to-end hydrogen ecosystems and specialised equipment and is on a rapid growth trajectory.

The Site Superintendent will oversee, coordinate and deliver site works to ensure successful project delivery. They must have a high level of mixed trade and project management skills in addition to leadership of crews and knowledge of the relevant regulations and safety protocols.

This role would be ideal for someone with gas infrastructure or power station construction knowledge and experience, including the interfaces of civil, mechanical and electrical sections to enable planning, scheduling and delivery of all works.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide site leadership, prioritisation, direction and instruction for all power station construction processes, including directing minor sub-contractors and on-site suppliers
  • Generate site requirement look ahead and action early procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment
  • Manage completion of site documentation such as quality reporting, diaries, work breakdown and incident reporting
  • Ensure teams evaluate hazards, control risks and undertake regular inspections of works and equipment
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety and quality assurance programs
  • Foster a workplace culture of excellence, innovation, honesty, and teamwork

About You:

  • Substantial experience in power station construction with a relevant trade qualification
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead site teams in delivering projects from $500K - $5 million.
  • Strong leadership, people management capability and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and communication skills
  • Strong planning and demonstrated practical knowledge of project delivery requirements
  • Current Schedule 26 qualification or the ability to obtain it on starting the role
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Results oriented, commitment to delivery and a problem-solving mindset.
